Sales Tax Autofile Requirements By States

Arizona

Authorize delegate request

  • Login to your AZTaxes account, and accept the delegate request from Sidr Tax. 
  • Select the business you want to give access to.
  • Go to the security page, and find the delegate access request from Sidr Tax.
  • Accept the delegate access request from Sidr Tax.
  • You can see the screenshots of each of the steps below.


California


Provide third-party access security code

  1. Sidr Tax requires third-party access to your CDTFA account to enable Autofile. After you fill out the enrollment info with Sidr Tax, we will send a request to the CDTFA for access. You will receive the security code within 7-10 business days.
  2. Sidr Tax will reach out to you for this security code. You can also email us at support@sidr.io once you receive the code.
  3. Before the enrollment process is complete, you will still need to manually file.

Hawaii

Grant third-party access to your Hawaii Tax Online account

  1. Sidr Tax requires third-party access to your Hawaii Tax Online account to enable Autofile. After you fill out the enrollment info with Sidr Tax, we will send a request to Hawaii DOR for access. We will receive a letter in the mail containing the confirmation code and authorization code, along with instructions on how to grant access. This process can take around 7 days.
  2. Before the enrollment process is complete, you will still need to manually file.

Illinois

Grant third-party access to your MyTax account

Indiana

Grant ePOA access

Kentucky

Grant third-party access

  • Go to https://secure.kentucky.gov/sos/ftbr/Welcome.aspx
  • Choose "Manage Permissions"
  • Choose your organization and click "Manage"
  • Go to the "Invite Users" tab, and search for autofile@sidr.io
  • Select the Sidr Tax user, and choose the following roles:
    • Sales and Use Tax Viewer
    • Sales and Use Tax Filer
    • Sales and Use Tax Payer
  • Send the invitation

Massachusetts

Accept third-party access request

Once you finish adding Autofile information for Massachusetts, Sidr Tax will request access to your account as a third party. We will email you about accepting the third-party access request. To do so, please log in to your MassTaxConnect account and follow the steps in the images below.

Ohio

Grant access to your Ohio Gateway account

Once you finish adding Autofile information for Ohio, Sidr Tax will request access to your account as a third party. We will email you about accepting the third-party access request. To do so, please log in to your Ohio Gateway account and follow the steps in the images below.

Follow the 3 steps in the image to accept the access request from BYOGCC, Inc.

 

Click "Confirm" to approve the request

Washington

Grant access to your Washington State DOR account

  1. On dor.wa.gov click the Log in button.
  2. Log in by entering your SAW User ID and Password and then, click Log in to My DOR. If asked, complete the Multi-Factor Authentication challenge to verify your identity.
  3. On the My DOR Services page, click Get Started.
  4. On the account Summary page, click the More Options tab.
  5. In the Your Account section, click Add or Remove Other User’s Access.
  6. On the Manage Customer Access page, click the Add User link.
  7. On the User Information page, User ID: sidrtax, Email Address: autofile@sidr.io. Click the Next button.
  8. On the Access Type page, select Account Manager and then, click Next.
  9. On the Account Selection page, select the account(s) you want Sidr Tax to have access to. The user access level should be Prepare and Pay.
  10. Click Next.
  11. On the Verification page, review your selections and then, click Submit.
  12. On the Confirmation page, click the Print Confirmation button to print this information for your records. Click OK.
  13. Sidr Tax is now listed under the User IDs section of the Manage Customer Access page.
  14. Before the enrollment process is complete, you will still need to manually file.

Business and Occupation (B&O) tax return

Sidr Tax will also file your Business and Occupation (B&O) tax return as part of the Autofile process for free. We assume that your business classification is Retail. If that is not the case, please let us know ahead of time.
